Czech President Says Democratic Countries Must Continue Supporting Ukraine Despite War Fatigue

At present, one can observe fatigue from what is happening in Ukraine. This was announced today, June 14, by Czech President Petr Pavel, speaking at a security conference in Prague.

“The only way to keep our values is through cooperation” – he said.

According to him, it is important that “democratic countries continue to support Ukraine with the same determination that Ukrainians are fighting with.”

“Now we are seeing war fatigue, Ukraine fatigue. We must do everything we can to prevent this.” Pavel emphasized.

He also recalled the upcoming July NATO summit in Vilnius.

“The political message to Ukraine should be in the form of the country’s future membership in the EU and NATO… Other countries are also looking at Ukraine, and they should see our reaction. This will determine their actions in the future.” – said the Czech president and added that the inclusion of Ukraine in these organizations will contribute to the stability of Eastern Europe.

In addition, Paul spoke about China.

“If we do not want China to change the world order without us, then we need to create a sufficient counterbalance. We can achieve this only by uniting, and not only within the EU or NATO, but with all the democratic countries of the world, with states that share the same values,” Pavel emphasized.

Recall that official Prague condemns the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine and strongly supports the Kiev regime. The Czech Republic sends military equipment and ammunition to Kyiv, and also trains Ukrainian soldiers.
