“It is such a shame that such accidents continue to happen,” says Frédéric Petit of Infrabel. “We regularly warn everyone that it can be life-threatening to cross a level crossing when the bell is already ringing, the red light is on and the barriers are down.”

“We really don’t understand why so many people still don’t respect the rules. The accidents should make them realize that it is life-threatening,” Petit concludes.
