Cyberpunk 2077 test company Quantic Lab lied to CD Projekt RED, according to PC Gamer

According to foreign media PC Gamer, Quantic Lab was busy testing the quality of Cyberpunk 2077. This company was responsible for quality control of The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine, Divinity: Original Sin 2, City Skylines and other games.

Ten Quantic Lab employees submitted articles anonymously to PC Gamer, saying the company’s management often put a lot of pressure on the testers, deliberately beautified the team, and hid size, numbers and experience. CD Projekt RED actively contacted Quantic Lab several times about the ineffective test quality, but Quantic Lab avoided the fact that the company is not strong enough.

The employee said the team that initially tested Cyberpunk 2077 consisted of just 30 people. He believed that 20 employees had no real QA experience and the remaining 10 people had no more than 1 year of work experience. To accommodate the daily volume of activity, the testers were able to report only a few graphics bugs and the serious bugs that really affect the gameplay were ignored.

In June of this year, the Upper Echelon Gamers YouTube channel claimed to have received 72 pages of confidential documents and exposed the matter. So it appears that the poor quality of Cyberpunk 2077 cannot be entirely attributed to CDPR and the quality testing company should also be held accountable.
