CD Projekt presented its financial report todayfollowed by a conference for investors and analysts. During the event, very interesting details about the upcoming plans were confirmed.
The studio is currently focusing on rebuilding a positive image for Cyberpunk 2077 and the situation is improving “on every platform”. The creators, however, are getting ready for the next year’s premiere of the next-gen version, which is now available “Currently in testing phase”.
CD Projekt RED needed more time because developers want to be sure that the new version will make its debut “In very, very good shape”. It takes a lot of time, because the developers have not only improved the frame, but also refined the operation of the systems – the creators took care of improving the main mechanics, which although “they are not a revolution “, however, these come together with other elements and it was precisely for this reason that the band needed extra months. The authors want to be sure that there will be no “regression” in any aspect.
The situation is different in the case of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, because it is an older position for which a third-party developer is responsible. However, players can count on, among other things, ray-tracing, however, in this situation – most of the update consists in offering new technologies in older production, so the studio needed more time to implement it properly.
It is worth noting that the next-gen updates to Cyberpunk 2077 (Q1 – January-March) and The Witcher 3 (Q2 – April-June) are on the “right track” to make their debut on the dates presented.
