More than 4,000 people were evacuated from settlements surrounded or occupied by Russian troops on humanitarian corridors during the day in Ukraine, said Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk.

She reported that a total of 4,217 people had been evacuated on the Telegram messaging platform.

More than 1,200 of them have left the towns of the sea port of Azov in Mariupol and Berdyansk, and more than 2,600 have been evacuated in the Luhansk region.

The retreat of Russian troops continues in some directions

The retreat of Russian troops continues in some directions, the Ukrainian Army General Staff reported on Sunday.

In addition, the opponent’s moral and psychological condition and level of motivation are still extremely low.

In the 3rd Motorized Infantry Division of the 20th Army, commanders of various levels refuse to take part in hostilities. The military is retiring en masse.

Also in the 58th Army, the personnel of two battalion tactical groups refused to take part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. It is planned to send these units back to their permanent locations.

To compensate for the loss of life force, the Russian authorities are campaigning to recruit both on their own territory and in the occupied Crimean peninsula and the Russian-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

In violation of international law, Russian troops continue to deploy combat equipment in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings, carry out filtration measures in the occupied territories, subject the locals to violence, and engage in marauding and robbery.

Meanwhile, in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Ukrainian army has repelled six invaders and destroyed four Russian tanks, six different types of armored personnel carriers and seven cars.

Ukraine’s air force and anti-aircraft artillery have fired eight air targets in the past 24 hours – two planes, one helicopter, one drone and four cruise missiles.

Zelensky: Hungary’s prime minister is almost the only one in Europe to openly support Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly criticized Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for favoring Moscow over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, saying Orban is almost the only one in Europe to openly support Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I want to turn to another person who does not quite understand what is happening. (..) Not only in Ukraine, but throughout Europe. To the Hungarian Prime Minister, who is almost the only one in Europe who openly supports Putin. We have not even received what everyone else is doing, doing it for peace. We have not seen any effort to stop the war! Why? Zelensky said in a video speech recorded Saturday night.

He noted that Hungary had not allowed Ukraine to provide military assistance in transit through its territory and that Ukraine did not see Hungary’s moral leadership.

“The whole of Europe wants peace. The whole of Europe does not want the battlefield to be moved from Mariupol to Budapest or from Kharkiv to Krakow, or from Chernihiv to Vilnius. All of Europe is trying to stop the war, to bring peace back. Why is official Budapest the whole of Europe, against all civilized nations? How good? ” said the President of Ukraine.

He added that Orban had probably lost his honesty “somewhere in contact with Moscow”.

It has already been reported that Zelensky has previously criticized Orban for his attitude to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

Hungary will hold parliamentary elections on Sunday, in which Orban will fight for a fourth term as head of government, but this time the fight will be fierce as he will be opposed by a united opposition alliance.

The Kremenchuk refinery was destroyed in a Russian shooting

The Kremenchuk oil refinery has been destroyed in a fire by Russian troops, said Dmitro Lunin, governor of the Poltava region.

“Unfortunately, the company’s infrastructure has been destroyed. The factory is not working,” Lunin told Telegram.

He added that a fire had broken out and firefighters had arrived at the scene. Several people have been burned.

The governor stressed that no ecological disaster has occurred.

The Kremenchuk refinery is the largest in the country. Since 2012, it was the only refinery still operating in Ukraine.

43% of the plant’s shares are owned by the state, and the rest by Ukrainian oligarchs Ihoram Kolomoiskis and Oleksandr Yaroslavsky.
