Cumbre Vieja: Andreu Buenafuente: “The La Palma volcano has served to demonstrate the importance of local media” | Radio Club Tenerife | Present

The Late Motiv program directed and presented by the communicator Andreu Buenafuente will premiere this Thursday a special edition of his program recorded on the island of La Palma. Even instead all his team moved to get a smile from the clappers, “although it was not our initial intention.”

“The program was not planned that way. It was born from an impulse in which we ask ourselves what I can do,” Buenafuente acknowledged in an interview on Hoy Por Hoy Tenerife. Although the also presenter of Nobody Knows Nothing of Cadena SER assures that he “had doubts” because when he did a program with a more serious tone, he felt “off the record.” However, he has confessed that the final decision was made after the production team spoke with the possible guests: “they are convinced that we are going to do comedy and we change the register.” Buenafuente perceived during the recording of his program “a lot of desire to laugh”.

In this special edition of Late Motiv, which can be seen openly through the Movistar + application, Andreu Buenafuente wanted to highlight the value of the local media and that they have allowed us to get closer to the reality of the field

“We are always at that point forgotten. The local media are used, but not strengthened. In this case, in the narration of everything that is happening has been very clear,” Buenafuente has admitted. “I have seen a centralism that goes for the spectacle and an informative localism that has been extended to all of Spain, that is still there and that is giving reason, well-ordered data and feelings.”

Journalists Javi Rodríguez, from the Information Services of Cadena SER in the Canary Islands and Fátima Plata, from Televisión Canaria, participate in the special program recorded at the Jardín de La Sal Restaurant, in the municipality of Fuencaliente.
