Culture, Concert | To be at a concert or not

Letter from the reader This is a debate entry, written by an external contributor. The post expresses the views of the writer.

Do you remember the time you were at a really good concert, where the band delivered the goods, the audience loved what the artists offered and nobody chatted and chatted and chatted because they had no interest in the music, the songs, did the artists, the stage show, yes, just take upon itself all the impulses that the artists tried to send?

Do not?

Then you might be one of too many who went to a concert with Highasakite at the Kulturfabrikken without having a clue what you were witnessing.

I remember those concerts, where the music, not the chatter about the new terrace, the neighbor’s dog, the boys, the ex or the plumber who never came, but still left visible traces, was the center of everyone’s attention.

I wish you understood that, but I don’t think so.

You will still go to concerts. Still be a fanboy or fangirl. I do not hate you. I just want you to pay a little more attention to what’s going on in the scene instead of spending energy on your neighbor’s cat at this very moment in your life.

If you don’t understand, you don’t want to degrade yourself into accepting that this applies to you, then you can just continue with what you don’t do.

But you. If you make it a couple of meters more from where I am, I would really appreciate it.

So, not many thanks to you, but an extra thank you to Highasakite, who delivered and delivered.
