After exceeding the threshold of 71,000 registered-fans, Cruzeiro will close 2022 with the program declining in number of members. That’s because, since the end of the season on Nov. 6, Raposa has lost 3,000 members — today it has about 68,000.
In 2023, the big challenge will be to ensure that the approximately 60,000 fans who have joined the program throughout the year continue to contribute as members. In 2022, the project was led by the factor Ronaldo, who bought 90% of the shares of the Sociedade Anima do Futebol (SAF).
The good sporting performance of the season and the campaign of excellent results in the Serie B of the Brazilian championship ensured the club revenues of up to R $ 2.5 million per month with the program.
Next year, the story tends to be a little different. With a level of investment away from their new opponents, now in Serie A of the Brazilian championship, Cruzeiro will need to be creative and extremely competent to obtain results and guarantee support for the Celeste fans.
In June, Ronaldo announced his goal for season-ticket holders for 2023, with Cruzeiro in Serie A, is 100,000 supporters. “Oh, forget it! We will be giants again. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we have to think big,” projected Fenmeno.
Furthermore, changes to the program are not excluded. In October, during an event to launch Cimed’s sponsorship of Cruzeiro, the club’s commercial director, Lnin Franco, defended the reduction in the number of floors: today there are more than ten options.
Lnin has also revealed an internal study for the creation of a season ticket, a sort of ticket for the entire season. An old fan request is the return of a plan that gives tickets to all matches. The possible news, however, have not yet been disclosed.
