Rafael, 31 years old, had landed in BH last weekend, and, on Monday, passed exams. The goalkeeper will join the squad in the celestial pre-season until the club’s season debut, which will be on January 25, at 17:00 (GMT), against URT.

Rafael appeared in the youth categories of Santos, for which he reached the professional level in 2010. He was champion of Libertadores, the following year, and ended up sold to Napoli in 2013. In Italy, he also passed through Sampdoria, from where he left for Reading, two years. He is currently a reserve for the English team.
