O cruise hit the coach’s return Vanderlei Luxembourg. The official announcement was made by the club on social networks. This Tuesday morning, the president Srgio Santos Rodrigues traveled to Rio de Janeiro and met the coach at a hotel. They worked out the last details and made the deal. The arrival of the club’s new coach should take place next Thursday, August 5. The agreement with Luxembourg suggests that the club has found resources with manager Pedro Loureno to settle the late salaries of the squad, as this was a demand from the coach to take command of the Fox. The businessman, owner of the BH Supermercados chain and master sponsor of the club, actively participated in the negotiations with the coach.

Vanderlei will most likely have to seek a reaction in Serie B only with players who are already in the Burrow. The club is unable to register new athletes due to two ‘transfer ban’ penalties. To get rid of FIFA sanctions, the board will have to pay BRL 13 million.

The first debt, from BRL 7 million, with Defensor, from Uruguay, for the acquisition of Arrascaeta. The second punishment, more recent, is due to a debt of R$ 6 million with Mazatln, former Monarcas Morlia, of Mexico, for the purchase of part of the economic rights of striker Riascos. The two transactions are from 2015. Therefore, there is a remote chance for Cruzeiro to change the scenario and hire new reinforcements.
