On Friday evening, the Crocodiles Hamburg will receive the main round winner of the 2021/22 season at Eisland Farmsen. The Saale Bulls Halle have been in first place since the 10:3 win against Herforder EV last Tuesday. Coach Ryan Foster’s team has collected 114 points from 44 games so far. There are only six defeats in the Saale Bulls’ record – including an overtime defeat in Hamburg. Henry Thom’s team defeated Halle in front of their own audience 3:2. Since then, only the EXA Icefighters Leipzig and Herner EV have been able to beat the top of the table. The Saale Bulls have been unbeaten for ten games.
The Crocodiles have had points in seven games in a row. The series broke last Sunday when they lost 4-2 in Krefeld. Good for the Crocodiles: Vojtech Suchomer is back after recovering from injury and is strengthening the defence.
“We have to use our full potential against Halle. We want to show a reaction after the game in Krefeld and need points to qualify for the direct playoffs. We’ve had a good week of training now. There was fire in there. We’re in the mood for the weekend against Halle and Herne,” says the comebacker.
While Vojtech Suchomer is back on board after about four weeks, Max Schaludek is out, at least for the game on Friday. Dominic Steck is not there either.
