Ronaldo tops the list of the top 11 highest-paid footballers in 2023

Cristiano Ronaldo can call himself the best-paid footballer in 2023. The American business magazine Forbes reports that the Portuguese star player of Al-Nassr can contribute around 247 million euros in this calendar year.
To compile the rankings of the highest-paid footballers in the world, Forbes added up salaries and sponsorship income. Ronaldo is the absolute top earner in Saudi Arabia with a contract of 190 million euros per year. In addition, he also earns 57 million from other income. The 38-year-old attacker has collaborations with Clear, Herbalife and Binance, among others.
Messi is in second place with an annual salary of just over 128 million and 66.5 million from sponsorship income. Neymar and Karim Benzema can also be found in the top five, partly due to their lucrative move to Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian is sponsored by Puma, Konami and Red Bull, among others.
The attackers of Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad earn a total of more than 100 million euros per year, just like Kylian Mbappé. Erling Braut Haaland follows at an appropriate distance.
