Shortly after 9 a.m., the cantonal police received a hold-up alarm from the Graubündner Kantonalbank in Chur, says Roman Rüegg, media spokesman for the cantonal police in Graubünden. “So far it is certain that one person has entered the counter hall, fired two shots there and left the premises with cash,” continued Rüegg. The shots were not aimed at people. The man captured tens of thousands of francs in cash.
The emergency services could have stopped and arrested the bank robber in Reichsgasse after a short escape – thanks to information from the population, as it is said. No one was injured in the attack. “The people affected are looked after by a care team,” says Rüegg. (so)
