The release date and time countdown for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Reloaded update is coming soon, and a new map is expected to arrive with the CoD MW2 mid-update.
For the most part, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been fantastic since it launched in October, and Activision’s second installment has been great so far. One of the best aspects of the current chapter is the new Ashika Island map for the WZ 2.0 battlefield.
While Season 2 has been great for the most part, the good news is that the Reloaded update is just a day away and will add lots of new content for CoD MW2 and Warzone 2.0 fans.
When will MW2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Reloaded be released?
The release date and time countdown for the release of CoD MW2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Reloaded mid-update is 09:00 PST, 12:00 EDT and 17:00 GMT on March 15th.
Activision has confirmed the above in their blog post Himmelmatt Raid Overview. All opening hours above apply to both PlayStation and Xbox, as well as PC.
In addition to Season 2 Reloaded, fans of Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Warzone 2 should know that the next Double XP weekend event will take place on March 17-20. Leaks say this will also be the next free trial.
New Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 map
The new map of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded is Skymate.
Activision’s Season 1 update introduced Shipment, while S2 introduces a Core 6v6 battlefield on a mountainside in Switzerland for the first time. It’s terribly cold with its snowy streets, but there are also saunas, a pool, and restaurants and bars. There is also a lounge and terrace as the main event center with an enclosed theater.
Himmelmatt will be included in playlists along with the Quick Play rotation. Activision has provided information for the Himmelmatt map so you can learn its POIs and more ahead of the Season 2 Reloaded release date.
In addition to a new map set in Roger Federer’s home country, Activision has also announced the return of the following multiplayer party modes:
- drop area
- All or nothing
- One in the chamber
Finally, Warzone is also celebrating its third anniversary. Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 players will receive seven free unspecified rewards, including a weapon blueprint and calling cards.
