COVID vaccination for centennials begins next week in CDMX – El Financiero

People between the ages of 18 and 29 in Mexico City will begin to be vaccinated against COVID next week, Eduardo Clark, director of Digital Government at Agencia Digital de Innovación Pública, reported this Friday.

The estimate of the capital city authorities is that all the people in this group have at least one dose by August.

The offices and municipalities that will start the process, as well as the calendar, will be reported on Saturday, July 24, Clark added.

The official also estimated that the 40-49 age group will have their full vaccination schedule before the end of August.

In the case of the 30 to 39-year-old group, the estimate is that by the end of September the citizens of that group will have already received their second dose of the COVID vaccine. This sector is being inoculated with the COVID vaccine from AstraZeneca and ‘Sputnik V’.

The capital’s government also reported that the CDMX will return to an orange traffic light as of Monday, July 26. The last time the country’s capital had been in that phase it was at the beginning of may.
