A large outbreak of Covid broke out at the Giovanni Bosco hospital in Turin. Starting slowly with an initially negative swab despite some symptoms compatible with Covid, in a few days the virus spread rapidly involving 35 patients and eight doctors, nurses and operators in three departments, orthopedics, cardiology and medicine.
A cluster that in size recalls the spread of the virus of the first wave and that forced the leaders of the ASL City of Turin to take urgent measures to contain the further spread. The orthopedics ward of the Donatori di Sangue hospital in piazza Donatori di Sangue was closed and all the patients were taken to Martini and the Ophthalmic hospital. No one is currently in such serious condition as to be admitted to intensive care and in general the conditions look good. In the meantime the Giovanni Bosco is being sanitized.
