A new patient in Minganie

On the North Shore, the new case brings to 127 the number of cases identified in the region since the start of the pandemic.

The other 126 people who contracted the virus are considered cured.

The sick person is currently hospitalized, explains the public health consultant for the cISS from the North Shore, Richard Fachehoun.

His condition is stable. His hospitalization is just for an observation. The epidemiological investigation is in progress, indicates the doctor.

The investigation cannot yet determine the source of the infection, or whether it is the result of a tourist visit.

Moreover the cISS de la Côte-Nord indicates that work will take place on the screening centers adjacent to the hospitals of Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles, to make them usable year-round.

In particular, garage doors and insulation will be installed on structures designed to accommodate patients by car or on foot.

New healing in Gaspésie – Les Îles

However, the organization has a new cure, which means that there are no longer any active cases in Gaspésie – Les Îles.

In total, 211 people have contracted the virus since the start of the pandemic and 9 people have died from it on the territory.
