As cases of Covid-19 have been detected in two nurseries in Chartrons, nursery in Chartrons 1 and nursery Barreyre, they have been closed until further notice.
Since July 12, the Gironde has been placed by the ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine in “Moderate vulnerability”, with an “unfavorable evolution of health indicators” (number of positive cases, new clusters, increase in the activity of SOS doctors, new Covid hospitalizations) as well as a “decrease in the protection measures taken by the population”. Faced with this upsurge of cases in New Aquitaine, the ARS will conduct a free COVID-19 screening operation at Bordeaux Airport from July 23 to August 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hall A – arrival level – ground floor of street.
Two closed nurseries
Closed since Wednesday July 15, the Crèche des Chartrons 1 conducted a screening of agents and children. All the Chartrons 1 agents (60 places) were screened: 2 agents from the same section (means section) tested positive following screening at the CHU on Friday July 17. The virus does not seem to have circulated between the sections, which reinforces the application of the barrier gestures and the health protocols put in place.
The children in the means section in contact with positive agents have all been tested, none of them are positive. At the same time, a child from the adults’ section, who only attended the nursery one day in July (July 15) tested positive. As a precaution, the Regional Health Agency had the children with whom he was in contact tested, and wishes to organize in the coming hours the test of all the children of the crèche as well as the agents of the neighboring crèche (Chartrons 2).
As for the Barreyre crèche, it closed its doors on July 22. A maintenance worker from the nursery has also tested positive, without a link being possible between the two structures. The screening of agents and children who attended the Barreyre crèche between July 15 and 17 will be tested in the coming hours. All parents and agents have been notified by text.
