Covid-19. These are the most affected municipalities in Portugal – O Jornal Económico

With the existence of 2,362 confirmed cases of infection across the country, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) revealed the demographic characterization of all confirmed cases, with Lisbon being the Portuguese municipality with the most cases.

The epidemiological bulletin reveals the existence of 175 confirmed cases in the municipality of Lisbon, following the municipality of Porto with 126 cases. Maia municipality is ranked third with 104 confirmed cases and Vila Nova de Gaia has 68 cases.

Valongo has 65 confirmed cases, Gondomar has 56, Ovar has 55 confirmed cases and Matosinhos has a total of 54 cases. The municipalities of Cascais and Sintra each have 39 confirmed cases, Coimbra has 34 cases and Santa Maria da Feira accounted for 33 cases.

The municipality of Almada accounted for 31 cases, Lousada has 29 confirmed cases and Loures currently has 24 cases. The municipality of Amadora has 21 cases, as well as Braga and Seixal. The municipality of Felgueiras has 17 cases, Oeiras has 16, Guimarães totaled 15 and Odivelas 14.

The municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão accounted for 12 cases, Oliveira de Azeméis totaled 11 cases, Funchal has 10 cases and Santarém accounted for nine cases. The municipalities of Espinho, Faro, Portimão and Vila do Conde each have eight confirmed cases.

Mafra, Paredes, Santo Tirso, Setúbal and Viana do Castelo accounted for seven confirmed cases in each of the municipalities. Aveiro, Penafiel and Viseu also totaled six cases in each of the municipalities. In turn, Albergaria-a-Velha, Albufeira, Barreiro, Montijo, Paços de Ferreira and Vila Franca de Xira had five confirmed cases in the municipalities.

The municipalities of Bragança, Cartaxo, Coruche, Évora, Moita, Sesimbra and Vila Real currently have four cases and Águeda, Alcochete, Arcos de Valdevez, Barcelos, Câmara de Lobos, Chaves, Condeixa-a-Nova, Lagoa (in Faro) , Marco de Canaveses, Mirandela, Pombal, Silves, Soure and Vale de Cambra account for a total of three cases in each of the municipalities.
