The test will involve 190 adults, “volunteers and healthy”, who will test the drug, which is being developed by the pharmaceutical laboratory Johnson & Johnson.
The trial will also be conducted in Germany and Belgium (with over 400 volunteers) and the Spanish health minister explained that this is a phase 2 clinical trial.
The trials will involve 590 people in the three countries.
Recruitment of Spanish volunteers will begin between today and next week, said Salvador Illa. According to the news agency Efe, the study will be carried out on adults and will include two groups of volunteers: one aged between 18 and 55 years old and the other aged 65 years or older.
