Covid-19 – No deaths in Aude and the Pyrénées-Orientales, 29 in France in 24 hours, the incidence below 100 in Catalan country

Thanks to figures published by Public Health France, L’Indépendant takes stock of the health situation in France and in the departments of Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales, this Sunday, September 12.

In the Aude, 83 people with Covid are hospitalized this Sunday (+1) and 15 of them are treated in critical care services (resuscitation, intensive care or continuous monitoring), or one less than Saturday.

The number of deaths has not changed since Tuesday, September 7, to 397. Regarding the incidence rate, it continues its decline that began on August 9. It stands at 114.3 per 100,000 inhabitants in a sliding week from September 3 to 9, a figure published this Sunday.

Since the start of the epidemic, 1,440 people have been able to leave the hospital, including 1 in 24 hours.

In the Pyrénées-Orientales, 112 Covid patients are treated in hospital (+1) including 21 in critical care services (resuscitation, intensive care or continuous monitoring), or one more. The department does not deplore any death from the Covid in 24 hours, the toll remains at 395.

The incidence rate is still declining since its peak on July 25 at 637 and drops below 100 on Sunday. It is 97.3 per 100,000 inhabitants in a sliding week from September 3 to 9, a figure published on September 12.

Since March 2020, 1,702 people have returned to their homes.

Stagnation in hospital in France

Nationally, we deplore 29 deaths from Covid in hospital this Sunday, September 12, bringing the toll at the hospital to 88,776. By adding the 26,756 deaths in nursing homes, since March 2020, 115,532 people have died from Covid according to Public Health France.

There are 10,012 people hospitalized (6 less than the day before) including 2,129 in critical care, or 2 less in 24 hours.

The incidence rate is also still falling in France. At 109.4 per 100,000 inhabitants, in a sliding week from September 3 to 9, it returned to its level of mid-July.

Since the start of the epidemic, 414,405 people have been able to return to their homes, cured, including 162 in 24 hours.
