New coronavirus positive cases are down in the country for the fifth day in a row.
France recorded, this Sunday, a further drop in the number of new daily contaminations with +29,344 new positive cases in 24 hours. In comparison, it is 2% less compared to last Sunday.
The trend is clearly downward since this week with 32,978 new cases on average per day. More generally, if we exclude the bugs in last week’s data reports, the trend has fallen steadily since April 5, i.e. two days after the start of the third containment.
We are certainly still very far from the standards that allow the restrictive measures to be lifted calmly, but the next week could be decisive if the decline continues to increase.
