It’s a disaster for the government. The Minister of Solidarity and Health, Olivier Véran, was, in turn, tested positive for Covid-19 this Thursday, January 13 at midday after “the appearance of mild symptoms”, announced his entourage to the AFP. “As protocol dictates, being vaccinated with three doses, he will respect isolation and continue to work from the private quarters of his ministry, where he resides,” added his services. According to his entourage, the neurologist, present Wednesday morning at the Council of Ministers, had been warned in the afternoon to be in contact via the “Tous Anti Covid” application and had undergone a first negative test.
“Given the appearance of mild symptoms this afternoon, he tested himself again, positive this time. He confirmed his self-test with a positive antigen test as well”, specifies one from the same source. Olivier Véran spoke this Thursday morning at the podium of the National Assembly, for the adoption of the resolution carried by the LFI deputies recognizing endometriosis as a long-term condition (ALD). Above all, he was to carry the bill establishing the vaccine pass, voted on the night of Wednesday to Thursday at first reading in the Senate and currently studied in a joint committee (CMP) at the Palais Bourbon, so that deputies and senators try to agree on a common version of the text.
