American actor Mel Gibson had to be hospitalized for almost a week last April after being tested positive for COVID-19.

Its manager confirmed the news Thursday to People magazine.
“He tested positive and spent a week in the hospital where he was treated with Remdesivir,” he said.
The 64-year-old actor has since tested negative and has antibodies to SARS-CoV-2.
Mel Gibson is added to the list of stars who have indicated they have contracted COVID-19.
Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were the first to say they were sick on March 11.
