Covid-19: free screening operation Quai Louis XVIII in Bordeaux

From this Friday August 7, 2020, it will be possible to be tested for free on the quays, opposite the Place des Quinconces. This operation will be held until August 28.

Faced with the active circulation of virus in the region, a new screening operation free from Covid-19 (coronavirus) will be offered from this Friday August 7 and until 2August 8, 2020, Quai Louis XVIIi, under the plane trees, facing the place des Quinconces at Bordeaux (Gironde). The testing center will be open to the public Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bordelais, tourists: screening is done without an appointment, free of charge, on presentation of the vital card and an identity document. Samples are taken by the nasal route (RT-PCR virological test) and the results are then communicated directly to the person concerned by the laboratory.

The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Health Agency (ARS), behind the organization of this new screening operation in conjunction with the City of Bordeaux, the Prefecture, the Exalab and Eurofins laboratories as well as the French Red Cross, precise :

These actions aim to prevent and break the chains of transmission of the virus (…) We strongly encourage the population to participate in this free screening. This is to contribute to the collective effort to contain the spread of the virus in the department. “
