Elvas is also one of the Alentejo cities that is suffering from the pandemic outbreak in the region.
According to the director of the Regional Health Administration of Alentejo, José Robalo, “there are six infected, all connected to a lunch”.
These six infected ones appeared in two days and there are still contacts to be tested, says TVI.
Alongside this situation, as has been happening in the Alentejo and in the country, homes and support entities for the elderly are closing doors to visits.
To TVI, the Mayor of Elvense, Nuno Mocinha, explains that “it is a temporary situation and a situation of common sense because the elderly are the population at greatest risk”.
