Covid-19 Delta Variant Found in Garut, Health Office Asks People to Wear Two-Ply Masks

TRIBUNJABAR.ID, GARUT – Corona virus or Covid-19 varian Delta already found in Garut it is known from the laboratory results Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital, Sunday (25/7/2021).

Head of the P2P Division of the Health Service Asep Surahman said, of the thousands of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Garut some of which are already exposed Covid-19 varian Delta.

“The character of the virus attacks quickly, the same as those found in Bandung and Jakarta, many die if not treated, especially for those with comorbidities,” he said.

Asep explained that the handling of the delta variant virus is not much different from the usual handling, but his party continues to take serious handling steps to prevent the spread of the virus.

He appealed to the public to be able to maintain strict health protocols, one of which was using double layer mask.

“You have to wear a two-layer mask,” he said.

Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan reminding the public to be vigilant by implementing strict health protocols because the spread of the delta variant virus spreads six times that of Covid-19 which has not yet mutated.

“The rapid spread and transmission can attack the body six times faster, obviously dangerous,” said Rudy.
