Covid-19 cases in Colombia January 27: infections, deaths and vaccinated – Other Cities – Colombia

According to the report of the Ministry of Health of this Thursday, January 27, 2022, in Colombia there were reports of 17,663 new cases of covid-19 in the last hours. This, after 66,476 tests were processed (31,578 for PCR and 34,898 for antigens).

In the country, to date, 31,942,301 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia reaches 5,816,462 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, in March 2020.

On the other hand, the report shows 273 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total number of deaths in Colombia amounts to 133,292.

Among the confirmed deceased this Thursday there are two minors. On the one hand, a two-year-old girl in Villavicencio, Meta, with comorbidities under study. And on the other, a minor under 11 years of age in Cali, Valle del Cauca, also with comorbidities under study.

The report also shows that, in total, there are 89,007 cases that remain active in Colombia.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 29,335 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,574,490 patients who have overcome covid-19 in the country to date.

Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cutoff at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, January 25, 70,595,963 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied in the country.

Of that figure, 34,270,095 correspond to the first dose; 25,383,187 to second dose; 5,263,357, to booster doses, and 5,679,324 are for the single-dose vaccine.

In Colombia, 31,062,511 people already have the complete vaccination schedule.
