Covid-19: Apple launches vaccination program for its employees

Apple has set up a new program which concerns the vaccination against Covid-19 for its employees. According to Bloomberg, Apple has partnered with Walgreens Boots Alliance, a drugstore chain in the United States, for this operation.

A vaccination program for Apple employees

This Apple Covid-19 vaccination program allows employees to receive the injections directly at the Apple campus. A website has emerged for employees that allows them to choose an appointment to have a dose administered. This concerns the United States.

In March, Apple offered time off for employees who needed to recuperate after being vaccinated. But the manufacturer said at the time that it had no way of providing the vaccines itself. With vaccine availability spreading widely in the United States, Apple is now able to provide additional help to employees who still need to be vaccinated.

This new initiative from Apple is about volunteering. Employees are not obligated to participate. But Apple hopes that as many people as possible will be vaccinated to limit teleworking and a return to normalcy. According to recent comments from Tim Cook, a good part of the employees will (normally) be back in the offices by at least June.
