Epidemiologists of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC), during an epidemiological investigation, have found that a passenger who has been confirmed Covid-19, on July 31 this year, traveled by bus on the route Riga – Daugavpils, which left Riga at 18:05, portal “Delfi “informed the SPKC.

All passengers traveling on this flight must contact the SPKC epidemiologist on 67271738.
If symptoms occur, contact your family doctor and have an examination of Covid-19.

SPKC reminds that everyone has the opportunity to take a state-paid test for Covid-19 even if there are no symptoms of the disease. It is mandatory to check in advance by calling 8303 on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm, on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm and on Sundays from 9 am to 12 noon.
The SPKC also reminds that in such cases, the “Stop Covid” application can help to find out sooner that you have been in contact with a Covid-19 patient.
It has already been reported that an emergency situation was declared on 12 March in connection with the spread of Covid-19 throughout Latvia, which ended on 9 June.
World Health Organization (WHO) has named the new coronavirus disease. It is called Covid-19. The name is made up of the words “corona”, “virus” and “disease”. The number 19, in turn, indicates the year in which the outbreak of the virus began. The first reports of the virus outbreak appeared on December 31 last year.
