The health situation continues to worsen in French hospitals. While the holidays are well underway, 7,840 people are currently hospitalized due to contamination with Covid-19, against 7,137 on Monday July 26.
Almost 700 admissions in 24 hours
In the last 24 hours, 688 new admissions were recorded against 312 the day before. Unheard of since last May. 1,232 patients were hospitalized in serious condition compared to 872 a week ago.
Santé Publique France recorded 5,184 new coronavirus infections recorded during the last 24 hours, for a total of 51 patients who died in hospital.
