The Ministry of Health and Social Action took stock of the daily situation of the evolution of Covid-19 in Senegal, this Sunday, August 02, 2020.
A positivity rate of 6.56%
Thus, out of 915 tests carried out, Senegal recorded 60 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), i.e. a positivity rate of 6.56%.
The positive cases are distributed as follows: 48 contact cases followed by the services of the ministry and 12 cases resulting from community transmission and distributed between Mbao 02, Saint-Louis 02, Dakar Plateau 01, Hann Maristes 01, Mbour 01, Parcelles Assainies 01 , Rufisque 01, Thiès 01, Touba 01 and Yeumbeul 01.
Cured patients
16 hospitalized patients were tested negative and declared cured.
Severe cases
39 serious cases are taken care of in hospital intensive care units.
Death
No death was recorded this Saturday, July 01, 2020. The state of health of the other patients remains stable.

To date, 10,344 cases have been declared positive, including 6,838 cured, 209 dead and 3,296 under treatment.
