CoV numbers are also increasing in Salzburg: 101 people are currently being treated for Covid infections in Salzburg hospitals – a week ago they were 90. In the state, it is currently shown that nearly 8,800 people are infected with CoV.
The number of new infections per 100,000 people in the state of Salzburg is above the Austrian average and is around 1,250. In this context, there is a growing discussion in Austria about the obligation to wear a mask indoors, in shops and on public transport. The federal government is responsible for this measure.
