Pandemic or corona virus infection Covid-19 previously predicted would make activity sexual increased because more couples were at home. However, recent studies have shown the opposite. Some couple claimed to have less sex during a pandemic.
Latest report from Mentimeter titled The Lockdown Love found that some couples have less sex. The study asked 1,651 people about their relationship since the corona virus came.
As many as 41 percent of couples claim to have less contact than usual when lockdown. About 25 percent feel they spend too much time together with a partner.
Constantly being at home also makes 40 percent of people claim to not have enough space. As many as 36 percent also said their partners no longer struggle with each other to carry out relationships that have been knitted.
In fact, some couples are pessimistic about the continuity of their relationship. Around 16 percent believe their relationship will end soon after the pandemic is over. While as many as 10 percent of people also believe that the end of their relationship is only a matter of time.
Stress and trauma due to the presence of the corona virus are believed to be one of the causes of reduced sexual activity and also worsening relationships.
“We must remember that lockdown this creates enormous stress and trauma for many people. It is important that we be gentle with ourselves and with each other, “said the Vienna therapist Pharaon who was involved in this research, quoted from Metro UK.
Pharaon recommends that each partner evaluate themselves and the purpose of the relationship, as well as controlling their stress in order to improve their relationship with their partner.
Nevertheless, lockdown and the corona virus pandemic is not always bad. The study also found 14 percent of couples claimed to have sex more than usual.
