The AAPP is verifying deaths and mass arrests under the military regime in Myanmar. They reported that the number of civilians killed by the security forces had reached 1,006.
“As long as the military is in power, they will continue to kill young people, professionals such as doctors and teachers, men, women and children,” said AAPP secretary Ko Bo Gi.
According to him, the actions of the military harm not only people, but also the whole country and its democracy as a whole.
“They are killing not only our lives, but also the country’s future and democratic hopes,” he added.
