Donation of vaccines against COVID-19 by the Kingdom of Spain.

(CRHoy.com) Our country will receive 1,002,690 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against COVID-19 through a donation from the Spanish government.
The donation is made through the COVAX mechanism and will be under logistics of 2 designs.
According to government authorities, the first shipment entered this Saturday with 500,760 doses. While the second delivery with the remaining 501,930 vaccines would arrive in the coming days.
With this, the country reaches the cumulative figure of more than 10.1 million vaccines received to deal with the health emergency.

Only from the Spanish government have received 1,072,290 doses between 2021 and the current year.
“These doses represent a great boost for the vaccination that will be carried out throughout the national territory in the face of the impact of the omicron variant, in order to get out of this tough test,” said President Alvarado.
For her part, the Spanish ambassador to Costa Rica, Cristina Pérez Gutiérrez, indicated that “Spain celebrates being able to continue to decisively support the vaccination campaign of a friendly country, and reiterates its commitment to the need to provide a joint and supportive multilateral response to a pandemic which has hit the Latin American and Caribbean region particularly hard, with which we maintain close historical and cooperation ties.”
