Studies suggest that the coronavirus responsible for Covid-19 can be transmitted through frozen surfaces. But this is unlikely to be how the pandemic started.
More than a year after Covid-19 – which has caused more than 2.5 million deaths worldwide – emerged, it is still unclear how the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus which is responsible for it emerged and s is widespread among humans.
