More than a year after Covid-19 – which has caused more than 2.5 million deaths worldwide – emerged, it is still unclear how the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus which is responsible for it emerged and s is widespread among humans. The idea that it may have spread from frozen infected animals is gaining momentum, especially in China where the epidemic started.

This hypothesis was not swept aside by the international team mandated by the World Health Organization (WHO) which visited the country in January. The team even claimed that it would be the subject of further research.
