As we had expected for a few days, Côte-d’Or and the entire Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region go green again on the new card presented this Thursday afternoon by the government. This means that the coronavirus is losing speed, even if the symbolic bar 1000 deaths was exceeded this Wednesday, May 28 in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
The health situation is improving
But across our region, there were less than 500 hospitalized patients (467 May 2) and 49 in intensive care. Hospital pressure has therefore returned to an acceptable level. The Dijon CHU is now preparing for the post-COVID-19 period, while maintaining a sufficient capacity of beds to cope with a possible rebound of the epidemic.
In terms of screening tests, only one new positive case was detected in Côte-d’Or this Wednesday, May 28, but 10 in Saône-et-Loire and 18 in total across the region.
