Cosmonaut in space photographed the longest lunar eclipse of the last 6 centuries

The longest lunar eclipse of the last 581 years was photographed by cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) shared the photos Dubrov took on social media. The photos were appreciated by social media users.

Photographing the lunar eclipse, Dubrov said, “We are currently observing a lunar eclipse with people on Earth. “The best view on the ISS is from the window of our new ‘Science’ module,” he said.

NEXT MOON eclipse AT 2669

The last lunar eclipse was in 1440. NASA reported that the next long-term lunar eclipse will take place on February 8, 2669, and will last 3 hours, 30 minutes and 2 seconds.
