Before their conclusions, the researchers administered the coronavirus from a human to three cats. The next day, two animals were infected. On the third day, they were all three.
The researchers also concluded that cats cleared the virus within six days.
Scientists advise people with symptoms to avoid contact with cats, which are more easily infected by humans than by their peers.
