This was the first known result, yesterday evening, after it was revealed that there were two more suspected situations of possible infection. In this case, I was treating is from “a patient returned from China”, who was referred to Hospital Curry Cabral, in Lisbon.
It was still missing to obtain the results of the analyzes made on a second patient “also returned from China” who was at the Centro Hospitalar de São João, in Porto. And the results reached the end of the night and with a negative result as well.
In a statement sent to the Lusa agency, DGS reported that “the second suspected case of infection by a new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Portugal, which was referred to the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João, had a negative result after laboratory tests by the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge, with two negative biological samples ”.
