Coronavirus, the bulletin of the ASP laboratory of Reggio Calabria updated to 13 August
The Health Department of the Reggio Calabria ASP announces that yesterday, Thursday 13 August 2020, in the Provincial Territory, they were subjected to screening for “COVID19” with a well 398 new subjects. The diagnostic tests, performed at the Laboratory of the Ex-INAM Health Center in via Willerm in Reggio Calabria, were positive for only 4 subjects.
Patients in “Home Health Care” in the whole Reggio Province (up, then, 556 thousand residents!) are now 58, with daily monitoring of their conditions by the Hygiene and Public Health Service and the Special Continuity Care Units in collaboration with General Practitioners and Free Choice Pediatricians. It is about positive asymptomatic, that they do not require hospitalization, as evidence that the number of positives detected in recent days in Reggio Calabria for the small outbreak of the aperitif in a bar with a girl from Milan and those of yesterday at the Riuniti hospitals, I’m not “sick people“But I’m just”positive asymptomatic“. A situation that confirms how well the monitoring of the territory is working with several hundred tampons a day in the city that allow you to detect and isolate any positives and initiate contact-tracking with the people with whom they have had contact.
For this reason the number of subjects placed in the “Home Quarantine” is also increasing: to date they are in total 391. These are not positives, but people who potentially could be and therefore are kept in quarantine while waiting for the swab.
It is good to remember that four months ago, in mid-April, in the whole province of Reggio Calabria we had 150 positives in home isolation (triple those of today) and over 2,100 patients in home quarantine (over five times more than those of today), and even with those numbers Calabria has never had any type of health or hospital emergency.
Obviously, citizens continue to recommend in case of suspicious symptoms not to go to the emergency room, but to contact their general practitioner, the pediatrician, or contact the toll-free number 1500 of the Ministry of Health or the toll-free number 800 76 76 76 of the Calabria Region.
