Lhe number of deaths directly due to the coronavirus has exceeded the 120,000 mark in the United Kingdom since the start of the epidemic, figures released by the British authorities showed on Saturday.
In the past 24 hours, 445 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19. Since the start of the epidemic, the number of deaths has risen to 120,365, which makes the country the most bereaved in Europe and one of the most bereaved in the world, behind the United States, Brazil, Mexico and India.
The country has entered for several weeks in an intense phase of vaccination which has already seen more than 17 million Britons receive their first dose, or nearly one in three adults. Barely nearly 590,000 people, however, received two doses across the Channel.
