Rodríguez specified that the published decree was worked on in the session of the Council of Ministers and explained that the curfew “has been occurring since the beginning of this situation and will be a factor that also accompanies”In this extension.
“The decree was made this afternoon in the Council of Ministers. There is a 30-day extension of the State of Emergency and the President of the Republic will announce all the measures contributing to this prolonged State of Emergency.“, he pointed.
This Friday the Executive published Supreme Decree No. 116-2020-PCM by which it established that the quarantine focused on seven regions of the country is maintained: Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash. In these places, citizens may move only for the provision and access to essential services and goods, as well as for the provision of services of the economic activities that are authorized.
Likewise, the regulation provided that children and adolescents under 14 years of age, as well as people in risk groups such as adults over 65 and those with comorbidities as determined by the National Health Authority, must continue in social isolation. mandatory, that is, remain in quarantine, throughout the national territory.
The quarantine expired on Tuesday, June 30, with which the new decree extends the term until July 31, although only in the regions of the country with the highest rate of infections.
