The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Monday on the Cadena SER program Day by day that the British arriving in Spain —Baleares is the only community in the green list of safe destinations in this country— They must present a negative PCR or a document proving that they have received the complete vaccination schedule, like the rest of EU citizens. This is a change in the criterion that Spain had maintained with respect to tourists from the United Kingdom, who until now could enter Spanish territory without taking a test. “We will apply this within 72 hours so that British tour operators and tourists will be able to adapt to these new rules,” added Sánchez. The government’s decision comes after the mega outbreak of coronavirus that occurred in Mallorca during several study trips that already leaves more than 800 infected in nine autonomous communities.
