Mazovia is the region with the highest number of infections – the Health Ministry said on Sunday. But the number of confirmed cases in our district has decreased.

On Sunday at 10:30, the Ministry of Health announced that 193 new cases of infection were confirmed in Poland. This is much less than on Saturday, when the ministry reported 319 new infections.

Most infections were recorded in Mazowieckie – 32 people and Śląskie – 30 people. In turn, in Saturday in our region, infection was confirmed in 41 people, on Friday – 45, while on Thursday, June 25, 29 were detected.

Coronavirus in Warsaw
As for Warsaw, the Poviat Sanitary and Epidemiological Station announced three new infections on Sunday (there were seven on Saturday). Sanepid did not report any death in the capital. Ten people have recovered.

COVID-19 epidemic
On March 13, the Poviat Sanitary and Epidemiological Station published the first communication about confirmed cases of infection in Warsaw. He talked about nine people with positive test results. Over the next days, the number of infected gradually increased by several to a dozen people a day. After two weeks, on March 25, more than 20 people were diagnosed with coronavirus for the first time.

The peak incidence occurred between 2 and 16 April. A total of over 430 infections were confirmed on these days. Later, until May 22, only once a day more than 20 infected people arrived. Statistics began to rise again in the last days of May. The highest daily increase was recorded on May 26, when 55 infections were found. This month, the most new cases in Warsaw were recorded from June 12 – 33. Since then, the number of new cases has not exceeded 20 per day.
