CHINA RECORDS 15 NEW POSITIVES, 2 LOCAL
The National Health Commission of China reported today that the Asian country detected 15 new positives of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus this Monday, among which there were two cases of local contagion in the eastern province of Anhui, scene of a small regrowth.
The other 13, diagnosed in travelers from outside the borders of mainland China, were detected in the municipalities of Shanghai (east, 3) and Tianjin (northeast, 2), and in the provinces of Shanxi (center, 2), Fujian (southeast, 2), Jiangsu (east, 1), Hunan (center, 1), Sichuan (center , 1), and Shaanxi (center, 1).
On the other hand, the health authorities also reported today of the detection of 18 new asymptomatic infections (Of these, two by local contagion: one in the southeast province of Guangzhou and one in Anhui), although Beijing it does not include them as confirmed cases unless they manifest symptoms.
The total of this type of infections under observation is 389, of which 363 come from other territories. Likewise, the National Health Commission detailed that, until last local midnight (16.00 GMT on Monday), 21 patients were discharged after successfully overcoming covid-19. Thus, the total number of active infected in mainland China stood at 319, three of which are serious.
According to the commission’s accounts, since the beginning of the pandemic 91,006 people have been infected in the country, among which 86,051 have managed to heal and 4,636 died.
