- The COVID-19 pandemic is not extinguishing. Yesterday over 500 new infections were recorded in Poland
- Record numbers of coronavirus infections and deaths among those infected were recorded last day, including in Brazil, Australia and Ukraine
In Polsat News, Müller said that in recent weeks state institutions are preparing for a potential return of the epidemic “on a larger scale”. He noted that, therefore, it was possible to resume some restrictions. He added that the government does not want these restrictions to be as large as in March and April.
Müller also said the government is considering quarantining people returning home from certain countries. – For example, we are considering the introduction of a quarantine for selected European Union countries or outside the EU. Such a quarantine after returning to the country. You have to take that into account. (…) Just as Great Britain introduced such restrictions a few days ago, other countries are considering introducing such restrictions, and so is Poland – said Müller.
The politician added that a decision on this matter may be taken within two or three weeks. He did not rule out, however, that the quarantine for returning to the country may be introduced even earlier. – The situation may be such that in a country or a tourist center where a group of Poles resides, there is a large number of infections and then, in order not to increase the number of these infections in Poland, quarantine may be introduced – added Müller.
The government spokesman was also asked if Poland would have access to the vaccine after its possible development. He replied that the Polish authorities had already held talks on this matter with American companies. – Remember that there is no vaccine yet. What we are guaranteed is that we will be able to use it as a group of the first countries, he said.
