Coronavirus in Norway: – 1072 new infections in Norway

In the last 24 hours, 1072 corona infections have been registered in Norway. That 83 more than the same day last week and 241 more than the day before.

At midnight on Saturday night, 92,007 corona-infected people have been registered in this country, preliminary figures show.

In the last seven days, a total of 6465 new cases of infection have been registered in Norway. A total of 4.5 million corona tests have now been carried out in this country.

A total of 260 corona patients were hospitalized on Friday. There were ten more than the day before.

Also in Oslo, the infection is still at a high level.

In the capital, 322 new corona infections have been registered in the last 24 hours. That is three more than the average in the last seven days.

322 cases are still 27 fewer than the day before, and 67 fewer than the same day last week.

Stovner is still at the peak of infection with 1,600 infected per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks. Then follows the Alna district with 1,442 and Grorud with 1,260.

The infection is lowest in Nordstrand district with 316 infected per 100,000 inhabitants.

A total of 27,584 Oslo citizens have been registered infected since March last year.

So many have been vaccinated

On a national basis, 595,899 people have now received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 269,901 people have received the second dose. There are about 40,000 more vaccine doses than the day before.

A total of 656 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. Whether patients have died of or with covid-19 is not always possible to establish.

61.6 percent of all deaths have reached the age of 80. In the age group under 50, nine deaths have been reported in Norway.
