Domiciled for several years in Knokke-Heist, Pierre Fonteyne co-founded the Master Cooks in 1980 alongside Pierre Wynants, Claude Dupont, Jacques Deluc, Robert Vanduüren and Pierre Romeyer. He was also the second president, after having directed for twenty years the kitchens of the restaurant “Bruegel” in Damme, formerly double starred.
Still very often asked to be part of juries of gastronomic competitions, the original Carolo was going to celebrate its 80 years in September. It was precisely during a recent culinary competition that he was infected and quickly placed in a coma for a long time, specifies Frank Fol.
